A very good bright button of 25mm of the 11th (North Devonshire) Regiment of Foot as worn by officer’s 1855-1881 after which it became the 1st & 2nd Bns. The Devonshire Regiment. Although the button retains full original gilt finish to the front, the shank is somewhat squashed and may have been repaired [shown in illustrations but rather difficult to photograph. jul15/3
