12th Frontier Force Regt. Officer’s side cap, post 1922.

An Indian Army officer’s side or field cap of the 12th Frontier Force Regiment with brass badge of crowned bugle, 12 below with scrolls reading FF Regt . The cap, of drab or khaki with red facings, is very clean although there are small areas of old moth damage. There is no maker’s label but there is the written name CAPT. J. HENDERSON on the lining.

The regiment was formed in 1922, its first three battalions being the former 51st, 52nd, & 53rd Sikhs, and other battalions were formed from the Corps of Guides and Coke’s Rifles.  oct4/1
