14th King’s Hussars, officer’s gilt hunt button with back mark PITT & Co 31 MADDOX ST LONDON. The flat 20mm button shows the regiment’s Roman numerals XIV combined with H to form a mongram. The button probably dates from the Edwardian period. In1922 the regiment was combined with the 20th Hussars, who had been formed originally by the East India Company. mar31 /1
