A fine example of the 25mm sized officer’s gilt numbered button of the 15th Foot, the East Yorkshire Regiment. The 25mm tunic button has the backmark JENNENS & Co. LONDON. This is the pattern worn from 1855 to 1881 when the regiment wore a rose in place of the number on a simplified design. The button retains full gilt. feb6/2
