Bound in strong old library style red buckram with gilt title to spine, the original printed covers are lacking but the remainder of the text is sound and clean and there are no previous ownership markings other than some contemporary initials at the head of the title page and the occasional alteration of station. These locally published HEIC lists are uncommon. Regimental depots are given and colours of facings and lace are shown.  May27/4

Produced when Viscount Combermere was Commander in Chief the lists comprise officers on the Staff, Artillery, Corps of Engineers, 10 Regts. of Light Cavalry,  2 Regts. of European Infantry, 69 Regts. of Native Infantry,12 Extra Regts. of Native Infantry, various Corps officered from the Line, Invalid List, Pension List, Medical List. &c.
