The Prince of Wales’s Visit to India. no printing details or date but circa 1876 8vo
Title page, index page, pp215 to 244. Disbound as a single text block, vertical fold, marks, clean although there are some pencil crosses against some numbered items and the occasional marginal note in faint pencil. Although there is a separate title page with the title as above beneath the Prince of Wales’s crest there are no printing details although the appearance of something printed immediately after the tour. The pamphlet refers to slides commercially available from the Prince’s 1875 Tour of India and was designed as a lecture to accompany presentation of the slides. The index refers to the first 56 slides from the Serapis on which the royal party travelled to Runjeet Singh’s Tomb; the last six pages list descriptions of other slides, not apparently taken on the tour but related to places visited. An intersting piecd of ephemera which needs carefully pressing. jul31/2
