The 11¼ x 8¼ ins late Victorian photograph shows the 1st Royal Surrey Militia drawn up on a parade ground with three mounted officers at the front. It has been backed with fairly modern paper. Although a little faded, especially along the lower edge, the image is quite clear. There is a small closed tear lower left side and the horse at that side has moved causing a blurred area over its head. sep15/2
