A very good example of a 21mm gilt button of the 15th Madras Native Infantry of the East India Company’s Army, the largest size worn on the officer’s coatee c 1830s – 1860. The backmark is HAMBURGER & Co, KING ST. COVENT GARDEN . The button retains virtually the full original gilt finish. oct11/2
