The 17mm, officer’s gilt brass button has the design of 38 within a garter bearing the title DOGRAS beneath an imperial crown – all raised in high relief and in gilt brass. The gilt is rather rubbed in places. This button was worn on blue an khaki tunics, late 19th / early 20th century. The maker’s mark on the reverse is of JENNENS & CO, LONDON. sep10/4
