A good example of an officer’s dress pouch of the 3rd Punjab Cavalry, pre-dating 1903 when the regiment was re-designated the 23rd Cavalry of the Frontier Force. The gold and silver bullion decoration includes the battle honours KANDAHAR 1880 and AFGHANISTAN. The pouch flap is approximately 6½ x 4 ins and the gilt metal fixings are fixed to the slimmer than usual box, The pouch is in excellent overall condition.   jul20/2
