46th (South Devonshire) Regt. of Foot, officer’s 25mm gilt

An excellent example of an officer’s 25mm gilt button of the 46th (South Devonshire) Regt. of Foot with the rather unusual backmark C REEVES 8 AIRE ST, LONDON . The button retains the full original gilt finish. The regiment vore this title from 1855 to 1881 when it formed the 2nd Bn. The Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry , the 32nd Foot forming the 1st Bn.   Jan31/3
