5th Gurkhas badge, post independence

The 37 x 33 mm badge of silver appearance has two fixing pins to the rear and the design of two kukris around a numeral 5 is typical of a Gurkha regiment but the incorporation of two fish is a reference to the Mughal empire found on the arms of Muslim states such as Bhopal. I am reliably told that this badge would probably fastened to the handle of a kukri. apr16/2 SOLD 21st November 2024
