93rd Foot Sutherland Highlanders, officer’s gilt, 25mm
£26.00
93rd Foot, Sutherland Highlanders. A good 25mm example of an officer’s gilt button but with no backmark. This pattern was worn from 1855 to 1881 when the regiment became The 2nd Battalion The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders .The button is a well made example of an officer’s button despite not having a maker’s mark. The buttn retains the majority of the original gilt finish with just a little wear on the high points of the design. Like several of the Scottish Buttons it is not easy to find. aug28/4
