The trooper’s brass button has the standard design of AR of Queen Adelaide beneath a Victorian crown. The regiment’s title was the 9th Queen’s Royal Lancers. The backmark is SMITH & WRIGHT BIRMINGHAM. The regiment was amalgamated with the 12th Lancers during the present reign. jul13/5
