The late 19th century carte de visite shows a Guarsdsman of the Coldstream Guards seated beside his mother. The cdv is by Sands, photographer to the Tower, London. The card is very faded and there is an ink mark to the right, the name on the verso is presumably that of the mother, distinctive but not easy to decipher Co–ilo We are not guilty of the label on the reverse which will need careful removal. dec27/3
