The large watch key, probably early Victorian, is made of gold cased metal and has a paste of amethyst colour to one side and a red coloured one to the other. The decoration includes a hound on either side with further leaf decoration. Including the swivelling decorative ring the dimensions are 48 x 17mm. The thin steel ring is modern. aug29/4
