A very sound example of an officer’s home pattern helmet carrying tin with engraved brass owner’s plate of L. A. Davies Esq. The West Yorkshire Regt. The tin is in excellent condition with very clean interior, the outer surface repainted, in black, possibly during its working lifetime [circa 1890 to 1914], The brass supplier’s label is Hawkes & Co. 1 Saville Row, London. feb14/1
