An unidentified, decorative sword of Spanish origin.

The sword has a 36 ins straight blade, terminating in a spear point, the shortish single fuller engraved on each side with the wording DEL REYEM ALLEMANHA. There are further marks on the forte of S in a shield and a monogram MM. The cast hilt is quite effective but suggests a decorative origin. aug22/4
