A very good silver plated 27mm button with backmark FIRMIN & SONS LD. 108 ST MARTINS LANE LONDON with a stork beneath a motto AUCTOR PRETTOSA FACIT. This probably from the time when Sir John Lubbock, 4th Baronet [1834-1913], banker, politician, and archaeologist, was created Baron Avebury in 1900. apr29/1
