Calcutta Volunteer Rifles, officer’s 23mm Victorian button

£45.00

A good example of the Victorian officer’s button of the Calcutta Volunteer Rifles with the backmark  G. & H. BULLIVANT. BIRMINGHAM. The 23mm button has a blackened finish with just a little of the underlying metal bleeding through on the high points of the design. This auxiliary unit was formed in 1863.   may23/1
