Delhi Durbar 1903. A stereo view card by Underwood & Underwood titled Charmingly oriental – Durbar grounds of a native Prince on the Delhi Plain, India. Today we would see the wording as condescending but it shows a less than common scene taken from the onlookers’ point of view. The verso has two unrelated photographs added by a thrifty early owner.   may31/3
