A very fine example of the Victorian officer’s gilt 25mm button as worn just from 1881 to 1901. This example, with backmark PITT & Co. 50 ST MARTINS LANE LONDON retains virtually full original gilt. I do not know why but this seems to be one of the harder late Victorian buttons to find. sep15/5
