The 35mm diameter bronze medal has the royal monogram of King William III [1817-1890] beneath a crown on the obverse with the country’s arms on the reverse with the wording VOOR TROUWE DIENST above. The suspension ring is present but there is no ribbon [which would have been plain yellow]. William III was King of the Netherlands and Grand Dukd of Luxemboug from 1849. feb23/7
