Contemporary calf covered boards, front board detached but present, scuffed and worn, lack of most of leather from spine, text block  sound, contemporary owner’s signature John Harper to first of 6 blank leaves bound in at the back, presumably for notes. As well as the Kalendar the book contains many useful and interesting lists including government officers, peerage, army officers by regiment, postal information, Scottish roads, fairs, stage coach times ,etc. There is also a list of the ships of the Royal Navy.   oct22/3
