FERRERS. A large, 145 x 117 mm, full armorial bookplate titled below The Right Honorable Washington Sewallis Earl Ferrers. This is for the 9th Earl [1822 to 1859] who succeeded to the title in 1840, having previously been the Hon Washington Shirley and later Viscount Tamworth. There is a light vertical crease left of centre, more noticeable on the verso. aug10/2
