A fine example of the gilt tunic button worn by Viceregal Staff during the reign of Queen Victoria. This is the 22mm size tunic button which has the cypher VR applied in high relief. The back stamp of the maker is FIRMIN & SONS 153 STRAND LONDON & 13 CONDUIT ST. dec30/3 SOLD 6th October 2024
This pattern of button was also worn by Officers at Arms and the staff of Governors General.
