132pp. Original printed stiff card covers with cloth spine, a very clean copy. The party consisted of H.E.,  Mr T. E. More, C.I.E., I.C.S. Private Secretary. Captain W.S.E. Money Commandant of His Excellency’s Bodyguard, and Captain L.M. Peet, A.D.C. This was a considerably longer tour than most and there is a 14 page detailed timetable including names of some of the people who met the Governor. 43 pages devoted to Calicut and 26  to Vellore, both very important recruiting areas for the Madras Army. The now hugely important city of Bangalore merits only 2 pages by contrast.    A rare survival of this tour in Northern Madras.      mar7/2
