An Edwardian postcard of the Rotary Photographic Series showing a half length portrait of H.R.H. The Duje of Connaught in undress uniform of a full general holding a sword [probably guards pattern]. Although the card is used 2ith the stamp cancelled 1906 the photograph presumably pre-dates 1902 when the duke was promoted to Field Marshal. He was a very hard working member of the Royal Family until almost the end of his life. There is a little damage to the corners. apr19/2
