H.R.H. Princess Helena, 3rd daughter of Queen Victoria, in her wedding dress, with her husband, H.R.H. Prince Frederick Christian Charles Augustus of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustusburg, K.G.  A good carte de visite by MAYALL, 224 Regent Street, London & 90 King’s Road, Brighton presumably dating from around the time of the marriage in July 1866 at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. The Prince wears the uniform of a Major-General of the British Army and his Garter Star. The Princess became Duchess of Saxony on her marriage.  mar20/1
