Indian Mutiny interest. A real photograph postcard showing a Mutiny relic, circa 1911
£20.00
An unusual real phtograph postcar, which we have never seen before, showing The Cross and the Ball which the Bullet of the Mutineers failed to dislodge at Delhiu 1857. The photograph, showing three British soldiers around the memoarial and was taken by K. C. MEHTA & SONS, PESHAWAR, N.W.F.P. It is unused but has two stamps of an old collector to the reverse. The photograph was most probably taken around 1911 when there was much interest in memories of the Indian Mutiny. feb23/2
