IRWIN. An invitation to a Garden Party, 1931

Large size cream stiff card invitation, 7 ins x 5.5 ins, gilt monogram of Lord Irwin above black printed invitation. This is an invitation from the Viceroy, Lord Irwin (later Earl of Halifax and Foreign Secretary) to a Garden party at the Viceroy’s House in New Delhi on 10th February 1931. The reverse shows detailed instructions for joining the party. The invitation is addressed to a Mr K Dat Ram in brown ink A little discoloured but generally good condition. apr23/6
