A rather faded group portrait titled on the old card mount H. E. The Viceroy and Members of Council 1875. It measures 11 x 8¾ ins and shows Lord Northbrook looking towards the Commander-in-Chief, Sir Robert Napier. Standing behind the Viceroy is his Private Secretary Sir Evelyn Baring, who was also his cousin. Lord Northbrook was Viceroy and Governor General of India 1872-76. jan8/3
