Modern dark blue half leather gilt cleverly retaining original blue paper covered boards with original printed label ARMY LIST, 1821, contemporary ownership in ink to front board John Binny, Esqre with Messr.. Binny & Co’s comp ts. [ a Wm. Binny is listed as serving in the 7t h NI ]. a very sound copy with strong, clean paper throughout. This copy was one of those printed with interleaved blank leaves, usually used in regimental headquarters although no annotation is noted on these paged in this volume, only some of the Light Cavalry regiments have the battle honour Assaye added in a very neat hand. A fascinating and extremely useful source of information, not all of which can be found in the East India Register of this year. It includes lists of the commissioned officers of those HM Army regiments serving in the Presidency – 13th Lt. Dragoons at Bangalore, 1st, 30th, 34th, 46th, 53rd, 69th, & 89th Regiments of Foot. jul22/1
