Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington. Baronet’s livery button, 26mm

A very good 26mm livery button of  Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington showing the three crests of the Baronetcy, a mower with a scythe for Pilkington, a boar for Swinnerton, and a demi lion for Milbourne. Beneath the crests is a baronet’s badge. It is silver plated and has the backmark W. DOWLER & SONS BIRM. The family seat of King’s Walden Bury in Hertfordshire is considered a modern masterpiece by the architect Quinlan Terry. apr22/3
