Multan, Punjab. The Hampshire Regiment on parade in 1928

A full plate, 11 x 8¼ ins. photograph by Mullicks also titled in the negative XMAS CHURCH PARAADW 1928. 1st Bn. THE HAMPSHIRE REGT. MULTAN. The regiment wears tropical service dress wit solar topis, the soldiers with rifles shouldered and the officers with swords. The large band and buglers are to the left. The photograph is on old card and the verso has several small snapshots of a race meeting with events such as the Multan Stakes and Muzaffargarh Stakes.   Good clear photos capture the period.     may21/2
