A good bronze medal, 41 mm diameter, with the bust of Napoleon [signed on the neck Andrieu, F with the text NAPOLEON EMP. ET ROI . The reverse shows allegorical figures against a battlefield with a dead horse and abandoned cannon. It is signed Denon D & Galle F. In the exergue the lettering and date read: RETRAITE DE L’ARMEE MDCCCXII. This example of the medal is in excellent condition and has a small neat chain attached for suspension.
