Naval buttons. A Victorian supplier’s card

The card, 12½ x 8 ins, was apparently displayed in an outfitters establishment on the Yorkshire coast. It shows over 100 buttons, the great majority with anchors, many fouled, of many styles and different sizes. Oddly there are just three military buttons, West Yorkshire Yeomanry, Royal Engineers, & London Scottish Volunteers.  A very unusual survival. mar28/6
