Naval General Service Medal, instituted 1847, naming erased

POA

An original example of the 1st Naval General Service Medal instituted in 1847 with bars covering actions between 1793 and 1840. This example, which comes with a length of ribbon, has had the original naming erased and no longer has a clasp. The design is more worn upon the reverse, presumably from rubbing against a uniform.    aug10/3  SOLD 23rd August 2024

We could be interested in exchanging this medal for an Army of India Medal, either name erased or re-engraved.
