Preparing for a shoot from elephants, India early 20th century

A group of six photographs in excellent condition, each approximately 5½ x 3½ ins showing pad elephants and a few with howdahs being prepared for what was probably shoot from elephants. There is notmuch indication of place although shooting tiger from elephants was vdry popular in the Nepal terai and in states such as Gwalior whcih was popular for its tigers. There seem to be around ten elephants of which just three carry howdahs fro the Europeans. apr9/2
