The image, 10½ x 8¾ ins visible. now in a window mount came to us in an old collection from the Maharja of Cooch Behar. The Prince is seated second from the left in relaxed pose. The British officer seated on the grass seems to have suffered an unfirtunate accident [could this perhaps be the Prince’s aide. ‘Fruity’ Metcalfe? sep17/1
