The Prince of Wale’s Leinster Regiment, officer’s 25mm gilt button with the backmark JENNENS & Co LONDON. The gilt finish is dull although the button is not seriously rubbed. The Leinster Regiment was formed in 1881 from the 100th & 109th Regiments of Foot, the Royal Canadians and the Bombay Infantry. The button was worn from 1881 until the disbandment in 1922. apr19/1
