A good example of the button worn from 1922 when the regiment’s title became 5th King Edward’s Own Probyn’s Horse. Earlier in the 19th century it had been the 11th Bengal Lancers. The button is of other ranks’ construction and has the backmark is J. G. GAUNT & SON LTD LONDON ENGLD. aug31/2
