A very good example of an officer’s gilt 22mm button as worn on the last pattern coatee until 1855. The button, of the three cannon beneath a crown design, has the backmark P & S FIRMIN 153 STRAND and retains most of the original gilt finish with just a little rubbing on the highest points of the design. apr16/2
