Royal Sappers & Miners. Georgian officer’s 15mm gilt

A very early 19th century officer’s open-backed gilt button of 15mm of the ROYAL SAPPERS & MINERS with the backmark DOLAN & SON LONDON , the first letter of the name little hard to read but almost certainly a D. The design has the royal cypher GR within a garter beneath a georgian crown. There are some areas of loss of gilt to the left side and the crown but the button is not badly worn. jul25/2 SOLD 26th August 2024
