A stereoscopic photographic card from the 1905-06 Royal Tour of India by T.R.H. the Prince and Princess of Wales [later King Emperor George V & Queen Mary]. The card is by H HA NDS & SONS and this image, taken at Jammu, is titled 126 The Princess visiting the Palace . The Princess walks along a red carpet closely lined with saluting troops, escorted by a British political officer, possibly tdhe Resident to the Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir. dec10/5
