Sindh. Nawabshah Horse & Cattle Show, vintage photographs from 1917

An old envelope containing 14 photographs [all but one 5½ x 4¼ ins, 14 x 11 cm] showing images of winning entries in the 1917 Horse & Cattle Show at Nawabshah in the centre of Sindh [now in Pakistan and renamed Shaheed Benazirabad]. A further group of aroud 30 mainly smaller photos show images from parts of northern India and a British family. The animals are often identified on the verso and some of the others have names and places given. A few photos are in England showing the family and cars.    dec5/4
