A fine example of the 22mm gilt officer’s button of the Royal Dragoons (1st Dragoons) with the backmark JENNENS & Co. LONDON. The button retains the original gilt finish and is of the smart style with mounted design as favoured by several cavalry regiments. Unlike the Victorian pattern the regimental title now appearss on a separate scroll beneath the garter. jan26/1
